The Friendship Behind Intersections

Both raised in Los Angeles, CA, Ananya and Isabella became fast friends when they met on the first day of kindergarten, bonding over their love of books. Their friendship developed into a partnership when Ananya, who founded The Intersections Initiative in 2023, invited Isabella to collaborate on continuing to develop the Initiative together in 2024.

You’ll likely find them exploring Los Angeles together, baking chocolate chip cookies, nerding out about their latest reads, discussing future travels, or working on their newest late-night idea for how to grow and improve The Intersections Initiative.

A high school senior at Geffen Academy at UCLA. Ananya is extremely passionate about about climate change, sustainability, the outdoors, and gender equality. If she’s not working on Intersections, she’s in the ocean, surfing, diving, swimming or playing club water polo or backpacking.

Isabella Guglielmetti

Co-Developer of Intersections

Having graduated early, Isabella studies at Santa Monica College, majoring in Global Studies and Sustainability. She is passionate about bridging communications and climate, and is constantly seeking ways to bring humanity to the climate movement through creative storytelling and design.
